Do you get<\/span> stressed about<\/span> logging into<\/span> your account and<\/span> all you see is a<\/span> full<\/span> inbox?<\/span> Are you<\/span> drowning<\/span> among<\/span> all your e<\/span>-mails? Calm<\/span> Just stay calm<\/span>, this time I’ll<\/span> tell you about<\/span> a couple of new<\/span> features that you<\/span> can use to<\/span> bring order to<\/span> your inbox.<\/span> While we<\/span> upgraded<\/span> Work2Go<\/span> for a couple of<\/span> months ago<\/span> a number of<\/span> new features were added<\/span>.<\/span> Among them<\/span> are two very<\/span> useful functions<\/span> to use<\/span>; the activity<\/span> stream<\/span> storage<\/span> policy.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

With<\/span> the activity<\/span> stream<\/span>, you can get less important<\/span> e<\/span>-mails moved to<\/span> a separate folder<\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n

The activity stream works just like an ordinary filter that controls and moves incoming e-mails to a separate folder. The purpose of the activity stream is to help you to clear away less important emails from your inbox, so you only have left the emails that you rather want to read and possibly answer first and foremost.<\/p>\n

The activity stream is designed to move e-mail newsletters, commercial bulk mailing and other mailings that are sent to a distribution list that you are a member of, including all those messages you can get from social media, among other things talks about the new status updates. But it can also be used to divert all emails that come from other e-mail addresses than you have in your address book.<\/p>\n

You can also receive these types of messages and have them marked as already read, flagged or get them redirected to a different e-mail address.<\/p>\n

More visible tags in your inbox<\/h3>\n

Want your tagged e-mails to stand out and be seen a bit more? Then you can arrange this on the Preferences tab by putting a checkmark in the box at Mail: Displaying messages: Message Color:
\nSet colour of messages and conversations according to tag colour.<\/p>\n

Get<\/span> old e-<\/span>mails deleted<\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n

Drowned<\/span> by all<\/span> messages<\/span> in your inbox?<\/span> Maybe<\/span> there<\/span> are messages that<\/span> are sent<\/span> out from<\/span> a management system<\/span>, or notices<\/span> that the printer<\/span> needs to get<\/span> new ink<\/span> cartridges or<\/span> that someone<\/span> liked<\/span> your<\/span> latest<\/span> Facebook posts.<\/span> Whatever it is<\/span> about they can<\/span> obviously<\/span> be<\/span> interesting and useful<\/span> for the moment,<\/span> but they<\/span> rarely need to<\/span> be stored<\/span> for a very long time.<\/span> For<\/span> just this purpose<\/span> there is a<\/span> retention policy<\/span> that you<\/span> can set<\/span> yourself<\/span> to your account.<\/span><\/p>\n

In<\/span> Work2Go<\/span> this function<\/span> for <\/span>message<\/span> retention<\/span> are set<\/span> per folder<\/span>. When you<\/span> select this option,<\/span> messages in the folder<\/span> that are older than<\/span> the specified time<\/span> are automatically deleted.<\/span> If you<\/span> later<\/span> on want to<\/span> restore<\/span> these<\/span> deleted messages<\/span>, just go to the Trash <\/span>> Deleted Items<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n
